ABOUT – NEWTON UNIVERSITY

Project partner

Newton University (NU) is a prestigious private university founded in 2004 and based in the Czech Republic, specialising in teaching management, psychology and economics. The university is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and all degrees awarded are recognised throughout the EU. The university offers a wide range of accredited undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programmes using modern equipment and technology. In terms of numbers, NU has around 50 staff members and 200 external staff members, who are primarily lecturers at the school. The number of students in 2023 exceeded the two thousand five hundred mark. Compared to other universities, NU lays great emphasis on the link between theory and practice, which is reflected not only in the selection of qualified lecturers with many years of experience in the field, but also in the amount of work experience that students undertake during their time at the school. NU also focuses on supporting and developing the careers of its students, either through the Careers Centre or through the Newton Business Accelerator, where students are supported through, for example, investment or know-how transfer. NU also owns Newton TV, which provides in-house production of high-quality video spots and broadcasts. NU’s ambition is to become a recognised and successful European level University. This ambition has then manifested itself in the form of opening a branch abroad, specifically in Bratislava, Slovakia. NU is also actively involved in the Erasmus+ Programme through Key Actions 1 and 2. NU has partnerships with 35 universities from 14 countries within the Erasmus+ member and associate countries. It also has partnerships with 9 universities from 7 non-Erasmus+ countries. NU has a broad team of internal and external experts who can contribute their qualities to the successful creation, progress and completion of the project.
