The CHANCE Erasmus+ project partners came together in beautiful Kuopio, Finland, for a two-day workshop hosted by Savonia University of Applied Sciences. The event brought together six partner institutions from five countries to collaborate, share insights, and shape the next steps of the project’s development.

The workshop took place from 11th to 12th November 2025. First part of the workshop was focused on analyzing the results of a comprehensive cross-national survey conducted across partner countries. The survey explored how people aged 50 and above are interested in learning about entrepreneurship and starting their own businesses. Goal of this survey was to gain a deeper understanding of target group’s learning needs and entrepreneurial readiness.

The findings provided valuable insights into the learning motivations, preferences, and challenges of this target group — information that will guide the design of the project’s upcoming educational materials.

Building on these insights, partners began designing the structure of the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) that will be created within the CHANCE project. This MOOC will be tailored to the needs of adults aged 50+, aiming to provide them with accessible, engaging, and practical learning opportunities in entrepreneurship and business creation. The partners exchanged ideas on content, structure, and methodologies to ensure that the course will be both inspiring and easy to follow for learners of different backgrounds and experiences.

In addition to the productive working sessions, the meeting also provided a valuable opportunity for networking, sharing best practices, and strengthening cooperation among the project partners. The spirit of collaboration and mutual learning was evident throughout the workshop, reflecting the essence of Erasmus+ projects — building connections and fostering learning across Europe!

The CHANCE consortium extends a big thank you to Savonia University of Applied Sciences for organizing the event and for their warm hospitality, as well as to all partners for their active participation and contributions.

The workshop in Kuopio was a truly motivating and productive experience, setting a strong foundation for the next stages of the CHANCE project.
